A WINTER STORM WATCH has been issued for northwest Montana for Thursday into Friday.
A HIGH WIND WARNING remains in effect for the Livingston to Big Timber area.
Breezy conditions will pick up along the Rocky Mountain Front and spread across central and north-central Montana today and tomorrow. The blowing of snow could reduce visibility, and the drifting of snow could lead to some lane blockages. The high temperatures around the Treasure State will reach the 30's and 40's. A Pacific pattern will result in rain and snow in the northwest corner of Montana. Still, little to no precipitation will spread east of the Continental Divide through the weekend. A favorable weather pattern will produce warmer temperatures for the next few days, due to the downslope of winds. That downsloping wind east of the Divide will warm temperatures up through the week into the '40s and '50s. Partly cloudy skies will stick around for the next few days. A few snow showers could push across the Divide Sunday and Monday. The rest of the week temperatures will remain favorable. The first day of winter is this Saturday, and highs will be mild in the 40s and low 50s. Overall, weather conditions will stay windy and warm for the next few days. Temperatures will take a slight dip into the start of next week. There is a mild chance for light snow on Christmas Eve next Tuesday.
