HELENA — According to Governor Bullock's latest directives, this Friday, gyms, movie theaters and museums are allowed to reopen, but unfortunately that does not include the Grandstreet Theatre.
Managing Director Kal Poole says, "We're not a phase one reopen, live theaters are restricted so we are hoping that phase 2 will allow us to meet again in person."
Each year Grandstreet holds a gala fundraiser. This year, that same fundraiser will be virtual.
The fundraiser will be an online silent auction. A $75 ticket gets you a boxed dinner from Chili O'Briens, a bottle of wine and other items, as well as the link to the online silent auction. There will also be live performances and music from Ten Years Gone.
There is also a door prize which is a $3,000 travel and performance voucher, good for 3 years!
If you don't want to spend $75, you can buy a $3 ticket, which will just get you into the virtual gala and silent auction.
Poole added, "The gala is huge for us, We're really hoping that the money we can bring in with our fundraising at the gala and the season pass sales that we can sell at our gala will carry us through the rest of the year, and so it is a really in that make-or-break zone for Grandstreet. We really hope that a lot of people will come out and support us."
