Weekend: Warmest Since September

Posted
and last updated

Beautiful spring weather will precede a summery sizzle. With sunshine, comfortable temperatures, light wind, little to no fire danger, this weather is almost perfect. Thursday will be mostly sunny with some high clouds increasing through the afternoon. Highs will be in the 70s for most of the state. The wind will be light out of the east. Temperatures will continue to climb on Friday with highs reaching the 70s and 80s. A few isolated thunderstorms will fire over the mountains in the afternoon and evening. The last weekend of May will be very warm with highs in 80s for most towns across the state. The Missoula area might be the only one to eclipse 90. Afternoon thunderstorms are likely both days, developing over the mountains first and drifting north and northeast out over the lower elevations later on. Above average temperatures and scattered storms will continue into early next week.
Have a great day!
