A HEAT ADVISORY has been issued for northwest Montana until Saturday evening.
A few fires in western Montana and larger fires in other states west and south of Montana will contribute to smoky skies in portions of the region. As of now, the air quality is GOOD, but a few locations west, air quality is MODERATE. The temperatures will be hot, and a bulk of the region will remain dry. The highs will climb into the 80s, 90s, and a few areas in western Montana will even hit the triple digits. Portions of Northeast Montana is currently at a marginal risk for storms which means; isolated severe thunderstorms are possible. The storms will be minimal in coverage and short-lived but can still produce frequent lightning at times. The winds will be a tad gustier today, and with the hot temperatures, it can continue to raise fire concern.
Saturday and Sunday is expected to be hot.
Monday is the next chance for widespread precipitation and gusty winds.
Tuesday, the temperatures will drop back down to the 80s, and an area of low-pressure move s through the state.
Always remember, if working outside, make sure you take breaks, drink plenty of water, try to minimize sun exposure, and finally NEVER leave children disabled adults or pets in a parked car.
Have a great day, and congratulations to all the 2020 graduates🎓!
