Today is the beginning of a cool, rainy pattern which will continue for the rest of the work week. Rainfall began moving into Montana last night, and will continue for most of the morning. This will taper off by tonight as moisture pushes eastward into the plains. Wednesday will start off dry, but another strong low-pressure system will push into Montana by the afternoon. This system will cause widespread rainfall and a drop in temperatures for Thursday.
Chances of rain will remain in the forecast for Friday and Saturday, as the low-pressure system slowly moves eastward. As it finally moves out on Sunday, a smaller, weak high-pressure ridge will move in briefly, making for a warm and dry Sunday. However, the mild and dry weather will be short-lived as another low-pressure trough approaches for the beginning of next week.
