Montana is in for another comfortable day today. The dry weather will prevail for most of north-central Montana, but scattered showers will push south of the Canadian borer this afternoon and evening. Areas along the hi-line can expect scattered showers for most of the afternoon, but the rain will mainly stay confined to that area.
The next bout of widespread active weather will begin tomorrow afternoon, as low pressure approaches from our west. Southwest Montana will have the highest chance of rain and thunderstorms tomorrow. Helena will have more rainfall, while Great Falls could see an isolated shower or two.
Friday, a cold front approaching from our north will bring cooler temperatures and more rain for the last day of the work week. Fortunately, this rain will clear out for the weekend, and our temperatures will warm gradually Saturday and Sunday. That warming trend will continue through the middle of next week, as high pressure builds over the western United States.
