Portions of the State will get a little relief today!

After a hot start to the workweek, portions of the state will get a little relief today. The temperatures will remain warm in most areas, which will result in the air mass becoming unstable; this will allow in a few isolated thunderstorms to develop in southwest Montana and spill into portions of central Montana early this afternoon. The system is expected to be minimal in coverage; but will still bring gusty winds at times, frequent lightning, and torrential downpours in portions.

Tomorrow a few locations will have lingering showers from today's system. The highs will stay in the 80s and 90s.

Thursday, a high-pressure ridge will bring slightly dry conditions and warmer temperatures back to the state.

Additionally, if working outside, make sure you take breaks, drink plenty of water, try to minimize sun exposure, and finally NEVER leave children disabled adults, or pets in a parked car.

Have a great day and congratulations to all the 2020 graduates🎓!
