After a dry first half of the week here in Montana, Thursday and Friday look to be shaping up to follow a similar pattern. Temperatures will continue gradually warming, with the peak in this trend coming Saturday with high temperatures around 80 degrees. Southwestern Montana may see a small amount of moisture Friday from a weak low pressure system, but no more than that. The next widespread moisture event across the state begins on Saturday. Saturday a low pressure system that was initially appearing to drop more towards northeastern Montana, is track more in a westerly direction, which means central Montana will see moderate rainfall beginning during the morning to midday Saturday. Rainfall should continue throughout most of the state on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, with Wednesday onward still leaving the weather models not nailed down on exact timing quite yet. The biggest change for moderate to strong thunderstorms will be on Sunday, particularly in the afternoon. As we approach the weekend, temperatures will finally be closer to average for this point in the year, gradually giving us more of a summer feeling as we roll through June. As always: A cloudy day is no match for a sunny disposition.
Be nice to each other.
