Enjoy the Clean Air; Smoke is Coming Back

Posted
and last updated

Beautiful weather has swept across the entire state. Skies are clear, temperatures are comfortable, air is clean, and the wildfire activity has diminished greatly. Some may argue Wednesday's weather was one of the top #10 most beautiful days of the year. More of the same is likely for Thursday with sunny skies, light wind and comfortable temperatures. Highs will be in the 70s to around 80. Friday will be sunny and dry, but the temperature and wind will increase some. Highs will be in the 70s and 80s. That warmth combined with low humidity and a breezy afternoon, fire danger will increase. This weekend will be sunny, dry and comfortable. Upper level wind will shift to the southwest across the western United States. This pattern will steer smoke from major wildfires in California, Oregon and Washington into Montana. Skies will become smoky, and the air quality will likely deteriorate through the weekend. Saturday will have a little easterly breeze with highs in the 70s and 80s. Sunday will be mostly sunny and dry. The wind will increase up to 15mph during the afternoon, so please watch the fire danger. Monday and Tuesday will be warm and breezy with highs in the 80s. Expect smoky skies and higher fire danger. Slightly cooler temperatures and a chance at a few showers are possible toward the middle of next week.
Enjoy the beautiful weather.
