Bumpy at Times Over America's Birthday Weekend

Posted
and last updated

Happy birthday America! Across the state there will be sunshine and comfortably warm temperatures, but also the threat of thunderstorms. Storms will fire in the afternoon and evening, especially on the 4th. While there are fireworks displays across the state, thunderstorms will also be scattered across the state. At worst, a fireworks display may have to be delayed for a short period of time. Highs will be in the 70s and low 80s, but any thunderstorm could cool temperatures down into the 50s and 60s quickly. If you're up in the mountains, temperatures could drop into the 40s with passing thunderstorms. Next week will start off with isolated thunderstorms on Monday, highs will be near 80. A stronger cold front will trigger more widespread thunderstorms on Tuesday afternoon. Wednesday may start out with lingering showers or thunderstorms early in the morning, but the rest of the day should be mostly sunny and pleasant. An isolated storm is possible on Thursday before another round of more widespread thunderstorms push through on Friday. Highs will be steady in the 70s and 80s throughout the week.
Have a great weekend. Be safe.
