Messy Morning gives away to a Mostly Dry and Quiet Weekend

and last updated

A DENSE FOG ADVISORY will remain in effect until 10 am.

The morning commute will be messy; prepare for hazardous road conditions and poor visibility. Black ice has been reported in northcentral and southwest Montana. Several of Helena Public Schools bus routes had to cancel due to poor road conditions. Areas of fog will gradually burn off as drier air moves across the state. A ridge of high pressure will camp out in northeast Montana and keep most of the state conditions calm. Light snow will linger in southeast Montana, and daytime highs will stay in the 30s and 40s.

Tomorrow and Sunday will start off similar to today; areas of dense fog will develop during the morning and will burn off by mid to late morning. A high-pressure system stationed in northeast Montana will offer up a little more sunshine. Day times highs will range between the 30s and 40s, and overall this weekend will be dry. We will end the weekend and go into the beginning of the workweek with strong wind and slightly "warmer" temperatures.

Have a great weekend!
