A RED FLAG (Fire Weather) WARNING is in effect for north-central Montana. Just like yesterday, today will be very windy, especially on the Rocky Mountain Front.
As pressure builds slightly on Friday, the wind will calm down- but not for long. This brief break from the wind will be followed by another windy day on Saturday, thanks to an upper-level disturbance in the atmosphere.
The weekend will remain dry, but by Monday, pop-up thunderstorms will be in the picture once again. These will be very brief afternoon storms that will not cause very heavy precipitation.
A high-pressure ridge will build once again over Montana next week, bringing more hot and dry weather to end the month of July.
Have a great day!
