We are now just 50 days away from the summer solstice on June 21st. While we are inching towards summer, today’s temperatures aren’t quite warm just yet. Morning temperatures were well below the freezing point, but this afternoon, we’ll reach into the upper 40s to mid-50s.
Also throughout the day, cloud cover will develop as scattered showers move into the region. While rainfall accumulations will be low, the overall gloomy feeling will last through Thursday. More spotty showers and thunderstorms will move in again tomorrow, before the clouds finally part on Friday for a beautiful end to the work week. The weekend still looks dicey, as a cold front will move through Saturday, bringing the chance for more heavy snowflakes behind it.
The good news? Temperatures will be on the up and up next week, and precipitation should just be rain, not snow!
Have a great day!
