A strong high-pressure system has set up over the western U.S. which means we’ll have plenty of sunshine for the rest of this week. Afternoon highs will linger around the 40-degree mark, maybe a few degrees above or below, through Friday. Things will really warm up in Great Falls, where the temperature will reach 50 degrees this week.
The vernal equinox- also known as the first day of Spring in the Northern Hemisphere- is Wednesday, March 20th. Things have been calm and quiet, but we’re keeping an eye on flood development as the warming trend continues and snowpack melts off.
Have a great evening.
