Winter has returned with a vengeance as snow and cold have spread back across Big Sky Country.  This picture is of the Missouri River in Great Falls where an ice jam has flooded some of the adjacent areas along River Drive and Bay Drive.  Montana is in for some changes through this weekend.  A HIGH WIND WATCH has been issued for the Rocky Mountain Front where wind gusts will range from 50-70mph on Saturday.  Temperatures will warm up briefly for the first part of the weekend, with highs in the 40s to around 50 in western and central Montana.  Far northeast Montana will stay in the 10s and 20s for highs.  Early Saturday there will be snow along and west of the Continental Divide, but that snow and rain will clear out by afternoon.  A new storm will spread snow through the state on Sunday, Sunday night into Monday.  Several inches of snow will accumulate once again.  Later Monday, the storm will clear the area.  More storms are lined up for the state next week as Tuesday night into Wednesday, and Thursday night into Friday will have more snow and wind.

Have a great holiday weekend.
