A brief bit of sunshine will move in today, but it will be quickly followed by rain, wind, and snow. A WINTER STORM WATCH is in effect for the Rocky Mountain Front, Cascade County, and Lewis and Clark County in anticipation of the wintry weather. Additionally, a HIGH WIND WATCH is in effect for the Rocky Mountain Front, Great Falls, and Helena because of winds that will pick up Friday night and Saturday. Precipitation will begin as rain in the lower elevations, transitioning to snow as temperatures drop overnight. Sunday will be especially hazardous on the roads when icy roads become snow-covered. Be careful if you have out-of-town travel planned for this weekend.
