Watches/ Warnings:

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY is in effect for a large portion of the state- eastern, southern, and north-central Montana are all included.

A WINTER STORM WARNING is in effect for a localized portion of north-central Montana, including Lewistown and Glasgow, where the snow will be the heaviest.

The first weekend of December is kicking off with some significant snow.  Overnight tonight, snowfall will begin moving through southwest Montana, pushing into north-central Montana overnight tonight.  Saturday morning will be a wintry wake up for most folks in Montana.  This snowfall will make for difficult to even dangerous driving conditions. Along with the snowfall will come chilly temperatures.  Most locations will remain below freezing for at least the next week, so any snow that falls will be here to stay.

Stay safe this weekend.
