Two storms will hit Montana this weekend, one early and one late.  A cold front will cross the area early Saturday morning with a burst of rain and mountain snow.  The front will quickly clear and most of Saturday will be sunny, windy and mild.  This middle or “meat” of the weekend sandwich will be the nicest part of the 2 days.  Early Sunday won’t be bad either, but showers, wind and mountain snow will increase Sunday afternoon and evening making for a stormy end.  Another cold front will move through the state late Sunday.  Unsettled weather will continue next week with scattered rain and snow showers on Monday, snow showers on Tuesday, and Halloween Wednesday will have to be watched for more wind with mixed rain and snow.  After an extended period of unusually quiet weather, it’s back to reality.

Have a great weekend!
