Happy Tuesday! We had a chilly start yesterday, but today we’re starting off slightly warmer. Afternoon highs will be in the 80s and 90s.
With building high pressure this week, temperatures will gradually warm each day, reaching into the 100s by Friday. High pressure in the atmosphere also means that smoke will build up in the air, creating hazy conditions by the end of the week. Air quality is teetering on the line between good and moderate this morning in Helena and Great Falls, but will decrease as the week continues.
A disturbance coming through this weekend will cool things off, but winds will strengthen as well. After a week of hot and dry conditions, that could potentially mean fire danger for the weekend.
