The summer weather pattern has been broken across Montana as a series of storms will affect the state through the weekend and most of next week. Wet weather, cooler temperatures, thunderstorms, some sunny breaks and even high mountain snow will accompany this storm cycle. This weekend will have wet weather on the bookends with the driest period Saturday afternoon into Sunday afternoon. The next storm moves in late Sunday with showers and thunderstorms that will turn into a sold rain lingering into Monday. Showery weather with some sun with develop for Tuesday. Another big storm will hit on Wednesday into Thursday. This system will produce widespread rainfall. Snow levels could drop to around 8000' marking the season's first significant mountain snow event. Between this prolonged stormy period and a long range outlook of cooler temperatures and more storms, wildfire season will be significantly "watered down".
Have a great weekend!
