After another April snow, warmer weather and sunshine are not that far off. A few snow showers will continue tonight, with the possibility of a burst of snow coating the ground. Temperatures will drop into the 10s and 20s overnight, so icy spots could develop. Thursday will start out with some clouds and a few mainly mountain snow showers. High pressure will move in through the course of the day with clearing skies. Even though there will be increasing sunshine, temperatures will be well below average once again. Friday will be a much warmer day but that comes with wind. A true chinook wind will develop with downsloping winds creating warmer temperatures that will melt snow on the ground in the lower elevations. After a sunny start, clouds will increase as a cold front approaches late in the day. Saturday will be a little "blip" on the weekend radar as a weak cold front produces some light snow that may mix with rain in the lower elevations. The front will fizzle out by late in the day with clouds breaking up. Sunday will start a warmer and sunnier stretch of spring weather. Although a few isolated showers will develop, skies will be mostly sunny. Monday and Tuesday will warm up even further under partly to mostly sunny skies. Wednesday could be the warmest day so far this year, but a few isolated thunderstorms are possible later in the day ahead of the next storm that arrives with rain and snow on Thursday.
Have a great day.
