Each day of the Tokyo Games, NBC Olympics will provide a rundown of the biggest athletes and the biggest events to watch across a variety of sports. Every single event can be streamed live on NBCOlympics.com and the NBC Sports app, and many can also be seen on the television networks of NBC. Simone Biles is set to return to competition in the women's individual balance beam final on the last night of gymnastics event finals.

Olympic knockout stages are in full effect as men's basketball, women's beach volleyball and women's water polo all hit the quarterfinal rounds of their respective tournaments. Plus, the men's 400m hurdles final is set to provide one of the most highly anticipated races of the Tokyo Games. Here's what to watch on Olympic Day 11.

NBC Primetime

On Monday night, NBC will air primetime coverage of track & field, including the highly anticipated men's 400m hurdles final, alongside coverage of the floor final for women's gymnastics featuring Jade Carey. The show will also include a live beach volleyball quarterfinal match featuring April Ross and Alix Klineman.

Track and Field

The first track and field session of Day 10 begins with qualifications for men's triple jump and women's javelin throw, as well as heats in the men's 1500m, women's 400m and men's 200m. Medals will be given out in the women's long jump and men's 400m hurdles. Expect a tense showdown between American star Rai Benjamin and Norway's world champion and newly minted world record holder Karsten Warholm in the 400m hurdles. In the women's long jump, Brittney Reese and Tara Davis will try to bring home medals for the U.S.

In the second session, Sweden's world No. 1 Mondo Duplantis will look for men's pole vaulting gold in his Olympic debut. Duplantis holds both the indoor and outdoor pole vault world records, and his biggest competition — American and world No. 2 Sam Kendricks — is out of competition after testing positive for COVID. In another field final, U.S. star Deanna Price and Poland's two-time reigning gold medalist Anita Wlodarczyk compete in the women's hammer throw.

The second session will also see 19-year-old U.S. runner Athing Mu, who enters the women's 800m final with the season's fastest time. That race will be followed by the women's 200m final, which is expected to feature a stacked field that includes American Gabby Thomas (who ran the No. 2 time ever at Trials) and Jamaican stars Elaine Thompson-Herah (who won the 100m final) and Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce.

Spain's roster includes a number of players with NBA experience, including Ricky Rubio, Marc Gasol and Pau Gasol

In an earlier quarterfinal matchup, Luka Doncic and Slovenia look to extend their unbeaten run through the tournament as they open the knockout rounds against Germany.

Track Cycling

On Day 11, the U.S. could potentially win its first-ever medal in women's track cycling. The event to watch is the women's team pursuit, an event that the U.S. has won at four of the last five world championships. With a strong team that includes Chloe Dygert, the U.S. will seek to improve upon its silver-medal finishes from the past two Olympics. However, the team that won gold at both Games, Great Britain, is led by star cyclist Laura Kenny (née Trott) and remains one of Team USA's top challengers.

Day 11's track cycling session starts at 2:30 a.m. ET with the first round of the women's team pursuit. The finals are scheduled to go off at 4:19 a.m. ET and will be followed by the men's team sprint finals.

Equestrian

Jessica Springsteen, daughter of Bruce Springsteen, makes her Olympic debut as individual show jumping qualifications get underway at the Equestrian Park. Springsteen and Belgian Warmblood stallion Don Juan van de Donkhoeve will be the 49th pair of 73 to go.

The individual finals will take place the next day, followed by a day off and then back-to-back days of team qualifying and the team final. In Rio, the Americans won silver in team show jumping, but only return two riders (Kent Farrington and McClain Ward) and none of the horses from that team. Laura Kraut is back 12 years after her last Olympic appearance, when she was part of the team gold-winning U.S. squad alongside Ward in Beijing.
