HELENA — As of 1:05 a.m., Wednesday, Lewis & Clark County Elections provided an update in local elections.
39,077 ballots were cast in total, similar to last update.
Tom Rolfe remains ahead in the election for Lewis & Clark County Commissioner. His opponent, Mike Fasbender, gained a percentage of votes. He now has 46% of votes against Rolfe's 53% of votes.
For the second Justice of the Peace spot, Mark Piskolich remains in the lead with 54% of the vote.

As of 11:55 p.m., Tuesday, Lewis & Clark County Elections provided an update in local elections.
Almost 2,000 more ballots were cast. 39,077 ballots were cast in total.
Tom Rolfe remains ahead in the election for Lewis & Clark County Commissioner. His opponent, Mike Fasbender, gained a percentage of votes. He now has 46% of votes against Rolfe's 53% of votes.

Lewis & Clark County Elections did tell MTN they have received the ballots from cities like Augusta.
As of 11:30 p.m, Tuesday night, Lewis & Clark County still only have a little over 37,000 ballots casts as they are still counting votes. Which means this leaves Tom Rolfe ahead of the race for the District Two opening as Lewis & Clark County Commissioner. Rolfe holds 54% of votes ahead of Mike Fasbender’s 45% of votes. Rolfe was previously elected for Montana legislature as a Republican. In 2020, voters will choose a County Commissioners without a party affiliation for the first time.
Lewis & Clark County voters will also elect a second Justice of the Peace. County Commissioners added the position to address the growing workload for the court. As of 11:30 Tuesday night, Mark Piskolich is ahead of his opponent, David Rau, with 55% of votes. Piskolich retired as a Federal Probation Officer of 20 years.
Lewis & Clark County Elections says they plan on updating the local numbers with new ballots after 11:00 p.m, Tuesday night.
