On October 19th Gallatin County Sheriff’s Deputy Jake Allmendinger lost his life while on duty. He left behind a wife and three young children.

There are two organizations officially raising funds to help his family and Chet Layman talked with two people from those groups this morning on Montana This Morning.
Pastor Ted Ethridge from Calvary Chapel and Chaplain Randy Jones from the Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office say these two funds are the only authorized fund-raising efforts for the Allmendinger family. Both men say they’d like people to donate if they can, but they’d also like them to share the donation sites with as many people as they can. As Chaplain Jones noted “a $3 donation from 100,000 people would help both efforts reach their total goals”. The links to both sites are below:
