EAST HELENA — At approximately 12:30 p.m. East Helena Fire Rescue received a call regarding a house fire on East Groschell Street in East Helena.
East Helena Fire Rescue was the first on the scene and called for mutual aid from surrounding fire units. East Valley, Montana City, and Tri-Lakes Fire units also responded to the fire.
"When we arrived we had black smoke coming out the front window and front door area with some active flame inside. Initial engine on scene pulled 1 3/4" line in the initial knockdown of the fire and then made entry and performed further extinguishment in the kitchen area" said Maness.
Maness said there were people in the home when the fire started, but nobody was hurt in the incident. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

EAST HELENA — Multiple agencies are responding to a structure fire in East Helena.
Fire crews had the 600 block of East Groschell blocked off around 1:00 p.m.
A reporter on the scene could see fire crews from East Helena, East Valley, Tri-Lakes, and Montana City Fire working on the structure.
