HELENA — Pureview Health received their first doses of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine.
They’ve received their shipment this week. Pureview says they’ve had about 60 frontline workers sign up. Any left over vaccines will be distributed elsewhere with that decision going to the state.
Their second shipment for a second dose is expected to come in January 2021.
The Pureview CEO says they are hopeful this vaccine will prevent further spread of the COVID-19 virus.
“It's stressful, it's really stressful on our staff and I'm happy that we are able to offer them this prevention measure, because I think it is the most effective tool that we have in our tool box right now," says Jill Steeley, Pureview CEO.
Pureview says they plan on hosting drive-thru COVID-19 vaccine clinics similar to their operations with drive-thru COVID-19 tests.
