HELENA – The Montana Television Network and Yellowstone Public Radio will co-sponsor live, televised debates this fall for the candidates running for Montana’s contested U.S. Senate and House seats.

Candidates running for the House, including GOP incumbent Rep. Greg Gianforte, Democratic challenger Kathleen Williams and Libertarian Elinor Swanson, will debate Sept. 29 at 6 p.m. in Helena.

Candidates for the Senate – Democratic incumbent Sen. Jon Tester, Republican Matt Rosendale and Libertarian Rick Breckenridge – will debate Oct. 6 at 6 p.m. in Great Falls.

Each debate will be held at MTN television studios, in the respective cities.

The hour-long debates will air live on MTN’s nine TV stations across the state and on Yellowstone Public Radio’s network in central and eastern Montana.

The candidates will field questions from a panel of MTN and Yellowstone Public Radio journalists.
