For Olympic Nordic combined competition, 55 quota spots are available for athletes to compete in Beijing. Countries can have a maximum of five athletes competing in the Nordic combined competition. Athletes within the top 50 of the Olympic quota allocation list will qualify for the Olympics. If a country has more than five athletes listed in the top 50, only the top five will earn a quota spot.
Who's Qualified for Team USA?
Currently, Taylor Fletcher is the only American in the top 50 of the Olympic quota allocation list. However, the following athletes are currently on the U.S. Nordic Combined Ski Team: Grant Andrews, Taylor Fletcher, Jasper Good, Ben Loomis, Niklas Malacinski, Evan Nichols, Jared Shumate and Stephen Schumann.
