CINCINNATI — A youth soccer coach in Ohio is facing 10 child pornography charges, according to court records.

Brian Hronek, 48, was a coach with the Cincinnati West Soccer Club. He was arrested Wednesday, according to court documents. A Hamilton County judge gave him a $1 million bond Thursday.

Investigators said they found child porn images during a search of Hronek's home and electronic devices.

Before a bond was set, the court prosecutor said Hronek shared some of the images and videos with undercover deputies, but refused to describe the material, saying they were “too violent and disgusting" to be read out loud.

The judge read over the charges for about two minutes in a silent courtroom before he said, “These are some of the worst allegations I have ever seen.”

The children range in age from about seven months to teenagers.

In a statement to WCPO, the soccer club said law enforcement indicated that none of its players were involved.

The club said Hronek “passed all mandatory background checks required by our organization as well as Ohio Youth Soccer."

The club said it learned Oct. 10 that Hronek was under investigation by the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office and Hronek was immediately relieved of his duties.

All of the charges are listed as pandering obscenity involving a minor or impaired person.
