Three bodies found in trunk of car parked in San Diego neighborhood

SAN DIEGO — Three people were found dead inside a car parked in a California neighborhood, according to San Diego police.

Just before 5 p.m. Sunday, police received a call regarding a suspicious vehicle parked in the Bay Terraces neighborhood in southeast San Diego.

Responding officers arrived to find the car, and upon opening the trunk, three people were found dead inside.

Police confirmed two females and a male were deceased, but due to the condition of the bodies, their races are unknown.

The victims appeared to be in their late teens or early 20s.

This investigation is in its preliminary stages, and SDPD homicide detectives will be working with the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the identity of all three victims and the manner and cause of death.
