Montana Republican, Democrat gubernatorial candidates debate Saturday

All three Republican gubernatorial candidates and both Democratic candidates will debate in separate broadcasts Saturday evening.

The Montana Broadcasters Association and Greater Montana Foundation produced the debates to air on most Montana television and radio stations beginning at 6:00 p.m.

The debates are moderated by Ron Davis, owner of radio station KBOW in Butte. Panelists for the debate include MTN Chief Political Reporter Mike Dennison, NBC Montana Assistant News Director Cyndy Koures, and Cowles Media KFBB anchor Taylor Tucker.

Democratic gubernatorial primary candidates Missoula businesswoman Whitney Williams and Lt. Gov. Mike Cooney will square off at 6:00 p.m. on most MTN stations. Republican gubernatorial primary candidates U.S. Representative Greg Gianforte, Montana Senator Al Olszewski, and Attorney General Tim Fox will also debate.

In Helena, you can watch the debate on MTN CBS affiliate KXLH (channel 9). It will also be streamed live on KXLH's website . If you miss the first broadcast in Helena you can rewatch it Sunday morning on KTVH channel 12 starting at 9:30 a.m.
