The Montana Food Bank Network , which provides food to more than 100,000 people each year, has picked up some financial help.

Missoula Fresh Market donated $16,000 to the Missoula-based organization on Tuesday.

The grocery store has been providing reusable tote bags to customers as part of the fundraiser and 20,000 have been given away since September. Customers are also asked at the checkout stand to leave a donation for the Montana Food Bank Network.

"The holidays are one of our busiest times of year, but it's also one of our happiest times of year because we see our community come out in full arms, volunteering, donating," said Cassidy Green with the Montana Food Bank Network. "Even Missoula, and around the entire state, so we have great support."

Green says Tuesday's donation helped the network reach its fundraising goal for the year.
