BILLINGS– ZooMontana's grizzly bear Ozzy is looking to better his record.
The 680-pound grizzly is aiming to become a Super Bowl sensation by choosing the NFL champion correctly seven years straight.
Ozzy has chosen correctly 6 out of 7 times, missing only once when he mistakenly chose the Denver Broncos to win Super Bowl XLVIII over the Seattle Seahawks.
Last year, Ozzy wasted no time choosing the New England Patriots to be victorious over the Los Angeles Rams.
The Patriots ended up winning the game, securing Ozzy as one of the elite Super Bowl predictors in the country.
Ozzy is looking to better his record on Friday, Jan. 24 at noon when he predicts this year’s champion.
Due to a slower response each year, Ozzy’s typical banana cakes have been replaced with whipped cream and grape pies, according to a ZooMontana press release. Each pie will be adorned with the team logos.
Ozzy will enter and choose one pie over the other. The pie that is eaten first will be this year’s projected Super Bowl winner.
Each pie will be identical, ensuring no favoritism.
Bruno, ZooMontana’s largest bear, will sleep through the entire event, the press release states. Zookeepers will make Bruno a separate pie, guaranteeing him a special treat all to himself.
This year’s pick will occur inside the bear’s night house thanks to Ozzy’s laziness; however, an attempt will be made to get him into the bear yard.
