The first day of school wrapped up Thursday afternoon in Billings.

At McKinley School, some students took some time after class to chat about their day with Q2 News.

Most said they had a very good first day. First graders were pretty excited about the finger-painting project and the pizza. Some of the second and third graders enjoyed coloring their own name tags and enjoying egg salad for lunch.

Several students were sporting their very best new outfit and sneakers for the 2019 – 2020 school year.

And although some students struggled to remember the name of their new teacher, all said they were liking school so far.

Looks like it’s going to be a great year.
