A controlled fire broke out onto owned property March 29th, Sunday morning in the northeast area of the Helena Valley near Lincoln and Ferry Road.

According to a property owner, it was a controlled fire for irrigation but high winds pushed the fire onto nearby owned land. About 5 acres were burned before West Valley firefighters arrived on scene and quickly put the fire out.

We do not have confirmation whether anyone was hurt nor any nearby structures were damaged.
