Job Service Helena will hold an open house on February 26, 2020, to showcase its remodeled facility.

Updated computer spaces, an open floor space. These are some of things you’ll see at the Job Service Helena Open House. Job Service Helena is a workforce development center that provides employment, training opportunities, and services to businesses.

“We consider ourselves a community resource, and we want people to come in and use those services, both, our employer customers, our job-seeker customers,” says Carol Rule, the Job Service Helena Manager.

Job Service Helena created an open floor plan to bring in more community interaction, but for veterans who prefer privacy can use the new Veterans Service Area. All the same services, just more privacy.

“Expect to be welcomed. They will be able to meet with a workforce consultants or visit with them, they will be able to take a tour of the building, if they like. We’ll serve refreshments. Hopefully, they’ll learn more about the services we offer,” says Rule.

Those services include resume work and matching you with the right job opportunities. Job Service Helena states that they have over 800 jobs available, as of February 25, 2020.

“Right now, there is a little bit of a decline because of some seasonal layoff, but we are seeing an incline for people that are hiring for the spring and the summer. It’s just in the process of off-setting right now,” says Rule.

According to Rule, home improvement stores and construction companies are some, advertising for seasonal work Summer 2020. Job Service Helena is an available resource for assistance in finding these jobs.

“Let us know how we can help you, that’s what we are here for and we want to be a resource for you,” says Rule.

The open house at Job Service Helena will begin at 10 am.
