Participating IHOPs across the country are serving a free short stack of pancakes to people who dine in the restaurant.

Guests are encouraged to leave a donation. The donation will benefit the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. In Montana, that hospital is the Shodair Children's Hospital.

According to Shodair, each dollar raised in the day goes to the children’s hospital.

In 2019, Montana IHOPs raised $6,000.

The goal for 2020, says a representative, is $8,000.

“So, it’s always really really humbling and honoring for communities all across the state to come and support us through this really easy way to support our hospital and to raise money and awareness for patients that we treat all across the state,” says Becca Dudek, the Children’s Miracle Network Coordinator for Shodair Children’s Hospital.

Since the start of National Pancake Day in 2006, IHOP has raised close to $30 million for charities, as of 2020.
