The Helena YMCA is showing off their newly-renovated facilities to the public with an open house.
The Y put in new cardio machines, like treadmills with access to satellite subscriptions. The gym is fully renovated with new machines and equipment. The locker rooms now have more privacy with a new family room.
In total, the renovation project took about eight months.
“I was really excited about rebuilding a sense of community and I feel like we are at the threshold of really being able to do something very, very special in Helena. And I'm incredibly excited to be able to start walking that path with the community," says David Oclander, the Chief Executive Officer of the Helena YMCA.
The Helena YMCA is also looking at changing the role of Camp Child near Elliston to make use of the facility year round.
