HELENA — Due to COVID-19 shut-downs, many people across Lewis and Clark county might be out of work at the moment.
A group of Helena businesses are stepping up to make sure nobody goes without a meal.
Monday and Tuesday from 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m., Saigon Alley, Park Avenue Bakery and Benny's Bistro are teaming together for their Stone Soup Project.
Customers who might be having a tough time with work right now can stop by Saigon Alley's food truck on the corner of Bozeman St. and Cooke St. next to the Transit station in Helena to get some soup and bread, for only what you feel you can afford.
"Before I was a restaurant, or a truck owner I was definitely a worker and living paycheck to paycheck for a long time, and I know that people are struggling, so we just wanted to do something to kind of give back," said Saigon Alley owner Rachel Conn.
If you would like to help the Stone Soup project, Rachel said then don't need any money donations right now, but if anyone wants to help, they could use unopened rice or other packaged food for future soups and meals.
