HELENA — Governor Steve Bullock held his annual meet-and-greet with a few Helena Girl Scouts. Girl Scouts across Montana and Wyoming began pre-orders on February 7th, 2020.
They decided to take their pitches to sell cookies to the Governor's Office.
Lieutenant Governor Mike Cooney was also there to hear the Scouts’ pitches and try samples of the cookies.
There were five girl scouts. Each of them had an opportunity to pitch why we should all buy Girl Scout cookies.
The money from the cookie sales will fund experiences like camps and trips.
“For me, it’s important because I want to let everyone taste the cookies and raise money for my troop to go to the hot springs,” says Jayana Hudson, an 11-year-old Girl Scout.
Jayana also said that her goal is to sell 2,500 boxes of cookies.
Governor Bullock tweeted that he bought way too many boxes of Thin Mints and Tagalongs.
These Girl Scouts sure know how to drive a hard bargain. They each had a solid pitch, which means I’m going home with way too many boxes of Thin Mints and Tagalongs. pic.twitter.com/TnsgmQkBKS
