HELENA — Lewis and Clark County is expanding COVID-19 vaccine availability to residents aged 60-69 years old with high-risk medical conditions and American Indians and other people of color ages 60 to 69.
High-risk medical conditions include: cancer, chronic kidney disease, COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), Down Syndrome, heart conditions, immunocompromised state (weakened immune system) from organ transplant, severe obesity, sickle cell disease, and type 1 and 2 diabetes.
The first Phase 1b- Tier 2 will begin Saturday, Feb. 13, with three drive-thru clinics. Pre-registration, proof of age and residency in Lewis and Clark County will be required.
Registration for all clinics will begin at 9 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 12, and end when appointment times are exhausted. Links to the register for the vaccination clinicscan be found here.
Individuals will need to provide a photo ID that shows their date of birth and address in Lewis and Clark County when they arrive for their scheduled vaccination time. Residents are welcome to bring a utility bill or other documentation that shows they live in the county if their photo ID does not have their current address on it.
People that do not supply proof of age and residency will be turned away.
Individuals will not need to provide proof of their high-risk medical condition but will need to attest that they are afflicted by one of the conditions outlined by the CDC as high-risk for COVID complications.
Rocky Mountain Development Council Area IV Agency on Aging are able to assist seniors who have access barriers to the online ticketing system with a call center at 406-447-1680.
Phase 1b- Tier 2 clinics are also open to anyone who has qualified for a previous tier in the county.
