HELENA — Postal customers in Helena will see some temporary changes as the city makes security preparations for potential upcoming civil events.
The agency said in a news release that two blue collection boxes will be temporarily removed as a security measure to protect postal property, employees, and the public.
The boxes to be temporarily removed are located at:
- 1731 11th Avenue
- 528 N Sanders Street
The USPS did not give any indication of any specific or credible threats in the news release.

At this point, there is no word on when the mailboxes will be put back in place.
