A mother-daughter duo is creating masks for small businesses as they open.
Kelly Robson first started making masks after her daughter was required to wear one to work..
Kelly and her daughter have made about 400 masks as of the week, April 20th, 2020. The first 300 were donated to community members. When Governor Bullock released his plan to reopen the state, Kelly realized that small businesses were going to need masks to open. They have about 50 mask requests with 100 masks already made for seven Helena businesses as of April 29th, 2020. Kelly makes the masks with donated materials or buys them with donated money.
“Helena is here, even in little ways for their small business. So, it’s just a little way to give back to them. It just makes me feel like I can contribute to the community in a way that not everybody can,“ says Robson.
