Montana kicks off student poster contest for "Kids Safe Online"

A national competition promoting online safety for kids kicked off on Wednesday.

The "Kids Safe Online" poster contest is run by the Governor's Office, the State Information Technology Services Division, and the Montana Information Security Advisory Council.

All kids in the state, ages kindergarten through 12th grade are encouraged to participate.

Schools are required to register for the contest then individual students submit original artwork depicting safe use of internet or mobile devices. Winners are chosen regionally and nationally.
