HELENA — Helena Public Schools is implementing a new policy for students who ride the bus.
Students will now have bus identification cards.
Each student who rides a district bus will be expect to show the ID when they enter and exit the vehicle.
Students who lose their ID will not be denied transportation; the bus driver will need to manually enter the student's information.
According to a social media post, the new policy will give parents access to information on bus delays or other problems.
Parents can also sign up for push notifications alerting them when their child enters or exits the bus.
