HELENA — Helene Food share is asking residents to donate extra items of food for Doorsteps to Kid Packs Food Drive.
On Wednesday, March 4th the ServeMontana Symposium will kick off at Carroll College. From there AmeriCorps members will canvass Helena neighborhoods and grocery stores collecting food for the Helena Food Share's Kid Packs program.
In 2019, Doorsteps to Kid Packs collected more than 7,700 lbs of food and over $31,000 dollars.
The Food Share helps about 1,100 children that are helped each week through the Kid Packs program.
There are certain items that are on the list as the items do need to be kid-friendly. The suggested items to be donated.

· Juice
· Low-Sugar Granola Bars
· Dry Cereal
· Oatmeal
· Easy Mac
· Pop-Top Meal in a Can
· Fruit Cups
· Peanut Butter
· Kamut
· Pudding Cups
