HELENA — The City of Helena Commission will continue the conversation of police department procedures and policies on August 26th, 2020, in another work session.
In a press release by the City of Helena, police officer on-boarding, training, and education policies will be presented for Commission review.
The Commission began evaluating the Helena Police’s current practices in June 2020. Since then, there have been two work sessions examining the School Resource Officer program. A program that was ultimately voted to continue to fund four school resource officers until June 2021.
The meeting will begin at 5 p.m. over Zoom.
