We are learning more about the role Montana firefighters are playing in helping contain the fires down in California.
According to the State Emergency Coordination Center, all 71 Montana firefighters from the 16 different jurisdictions were intially assigned to the "Easy Fire".
The Easy Fire is burning in the Simi Valley, northwest of Los Angeles.
That was the same fire that threatened the Reagan National Library earlier this week.
The Easy Fire burned just over 1,800 acres and is about 80 percent contained.
The Helena Fire Department posted on Facebook Friday afternoon that the teams had been moved to new Maria Fire in Ventura County.
The Montana teams are expected to spend about two weeks in California.
