GLACIER NATIONAL PARK – A timelapse video recorded in the Glacier National Park area demonstrates the dramatic growth of the Howe Ridge fire, which is burning at 2,600 acres as of Wednesday.

“The Howe Ridge Fire growing from a small burn to a massive inferno! Probably the most intense thing I have ever seen in my entire life,” said Freddy Terranova, who filmed the timelapse.

He said he started the timelapse at 4:30 p.m. and then finished that last sequence at around 2 a.m. Most of the footage was shot from the Sprague Creek campground area.

About 12,000 photos are included in all of Terranova’s timelapse sequences combined
