ENNIS- A new wildfire in the Gravelly Mountains has forced evacuation warnings on Saturday afternoon.
The Wigwam fire is currently burning 2-3 miles southwest of the Haypress Lakes Subdivision in Wigwam Creek at approximately 70 acres. Evacuation Warnings have been issued for Haypress Lake Rd and Boiler Springs at this time.
The Wigwam Fire is reportedly not a spot fire from the Monument Fire but a new fire.
The Monument fire is burning in the Ruby Creek drainage in the South Gravelly mountains. The fire grew to over 2,000 acres Saturday and will continue to spread to the east on Sunday. No structures are threatened currently on the Monument Fire.
Both fires are 0% contained and a Type 2 Incident Management Team has been ordered.
Road closures include Johnny Ridge Rd and Gravelly Range Rd to Black Butte Cabin.
